North Fork Ward Temple and Family History Plan

 

Help Ward Members catch the spirit of Family History and become involved by:

·   Understanding how Family History and Temple work are part of “Gathering Israel”

 

·   Understanding what it means to become involved in temple work and capturing family history information through monthly newsletters

 

 

·   Connecting families through Family History work and temple ordinances

o   Setting and achieving family/individual temple and family history goal(s)

§  Completing 4 generations in FamilySearch

§  Capture testimonies, tender mercies and other memories for attend posterity

§  Assist ward members in writing their life history

§  Obtaining a current temple recommend

§  Regular temple attendance

 

·   Learning how to use Family History and Temple resources

o   FamilySearch (including adding memories)

o   Temple Ready and scheduling temple appointments

3rd party research tools (Ancestry, MyHeritage, Findmypast, American Ancestors, Filae, and Geneanet)

o   Ward Family History Consultants

 

·   Ward to hold regular Temple and Family History Coordination meetings and attend Stake Temple and Family History coordination meetings.

 

·   Have the ward participate in a Temple and Family History challenge twice a year

 

·   Help other ward members by doing Temple ready names for other ward members
