Arrive @ Stake Center 4:45 am
• Morning Devotional in Chapel, 5:00am (Stake Directed)
• Breakfast Snacks for the road
• Leave Stake Center 5:30 am
Arrive @ Independence Rock approx. @ 12:00
• Independence Rock Celebration
• Overview of Trail
(Stake Divided into 3 Groups)
• Lunch on site @ Independence Rock
• Leave Independence Rock for Sixth Crossing @ 2:00 (1 hour drive time)
Arrive @ Sixth Crossing approx. at 3:30pm
• Set up Camp
• Sixth Crossing Visitors center. Upon arrival, Group 1 will visit the center. Approximately 1 hr. later group 2 will visit center.
• Dinner @ 6:00pm, Stake Chuckwagon Cooks
• Group 3 will visit the Center
• Activities, Games, Fun, free time
• 9:30 pm Evening Devotional (Individual Families, under direction of Lead Ma’s & Pa’s)
Thursday June 5th
“Sixth Crossing, Rescue of the Willie Company”
• Arise
• Breakfast- Ward Families
• Sixth Crossing Experience: Stake will be divided into 3 groups leaving at different times. (Put your seatbelts on, arms and legs in at all times, open your hearts and have a fun ride.)
• Handcart Pull into Cove itself (6 miles) (sack lunch brought in handcarts)
• 3:00 – 4:00 Arrive Back to Camp
• Activities, Games, Free time
• 5:00 Dinner– Stake Chuckwagon Cooks
• Entertainment provided by Stake Activity’s
• (Stake Divided into 3 Groups) for Martins Cove Experience
• 9:30pm Evening Family Devotional (Individual Families, under direction of Ma’s & Pa’s)
Friday June 6th
“Martin’s Cove & Visitors Center”
• 6:30 Arise
• Breakfast- Ward Families
• 3 Groups Drive to Martin's Cove pending on start time of the group.
• Visitors Center, Trek the Cove (Put your seatbelts on, arms and legs in at all times, open your hearts and have a fun ride.)
• Sack Lunch in handcarts
• Drive back to Sixth Crossing Camp
• 6:00 Dinner– Stake Chuckwagon Cooks
• Free time, Activities, games
• 8:30 Devotional Fireside: Directed by Bishops for their own Ward (Activities, Opportunities to Share; What have we learned felt, experienced, Testimonies etc.)
Saturday June 7th
• Arise
• Breakfast- Ward Families
• Pack up Camp
• 9:30 Stake Devotional: Story of “Heartbreak Hill”- “We can do Hard things”
• Solo Experience: All Youth will Receive a Letter from Parents expressing their Testimonies, Love, Appreciation for their children. How their family has gone through and can continue to do Hard things relying on the Merits and Mercy of Jesus Christ. All Rescue Participants (youth & adults) will have a solo time to reflect on their experience these past few days. Journal Entry, what they have learned, felt, and what they have been taught. What things they want to leave on the trail, habits, fear, emotions etc. what attributes would they like to more fully develop and take home. How can we all more fully look unto Christ, “Look unto me in every thought, doubt Not, Fear Not”
• Leave 6th Crossing for Home by 10:30 – 11:00
• Lunch on the Road
• Arrive @ Stake Center 4:30 pm
• Return Home, shower, and return to Stake Center for closing celebration
• 6:30 for dinner-Stake Center Bowery-Stake Chuck Wagon Cooks
• Closing Celebration, & Devotional: Video, Musical numbers, Testimonials
